1. OPENING REMARKS
Daniel: “Thank you for coming. I know we’re both busy. But we need to talk about where this is going.”
Sarah: “I agree. We haven’t talked in weeks. Not really talked.”
Daniel: “I know. That’s why I called this meeting.”
2. REVIEW OF RECENT PERFORMANCE
Sarah: “Let’s review the last six months. In March, we were happy. We were present. We were connected. We went on dates. We had sex. We talked about the future.”
Daniel: “That’s true. It was good. What happened?”
Sarah: “We got comfortable. We stopped trying. We stopped being present.”
Daniel: “I know. I’ve been working a lot.”
Sarah: “I know. I’ve been working a lot too. But that’s not the only issue. We stopped communicating. We stopped being vulnerable. We stopped showing up.”
Daniel: “I don’t know how to fix it.”
Sarah: “Neither do I. That’s why we’re here.”
3. CURRENT CHALLENGES
Challenge 1: Communication Breakdown
Sarah: “We don’t talk anymore. Not really. We talk about logistics – who’s picking up dinner, who’s doing laundry. We don’t talk about feelings. We don’t talk about us.”
Daniel: “I don’t know how to start.”
Sarah: “You start by starting.”
Challenge 2: Emotional Distance
Daniel: “I feel like we’re roommates. Not partners.”
Sarah: “I feel that too. I miss you. Even when you’re right next to me, I miss you.”
Daniel: “I miss you too.”
Challenge 3: Intimacy Decline
Sarah: “We haven’t had sex in two months. That’s a problem.”
Daniel: “I know. I’ve been stressed.”
Sarah: “I’ve been stressed too. But stress isn’t the only issue. We stopped being intimate. We stopped touching. We stopped connecting.”
Challenge 4: Unresolved Conflict
Daniel: “We had a fight in July. We never resolved it.”
Sarah: “I know. We just swept it under the rug. We pretended it was fine. But it’s not fine.”
Daniel: “I know.”
4. STRATEGIC REVIEW
Option 1: Continue as Is
Daniel: “We could just keep doing what we’re doing. Pretend everything’s fine.”
Sarah: “That’s not an option. That’s a slow death.”
Option 2: Take a Break
Daniel: “We could take a break. Spend some time apart. Figure out what we want.”
Sarah: “I don’t think that’s the answer either. Breaks don’t fix problems. They just delay them.”
Option 3: Commit to Change
Sarah: “We could commit to changing. We could go to therapy. We could work on communication. We could be present.”
Daniel: “That’s the only option that makes sense.”
Sarah: “I agree. But it requires effort. It requires showing up. It requires being vulnerable.”
Daniel: “I know.”
